I was born in England in 1963 and lived in many countries including France, India, Syria and Holland. I speak five languages: Arabic, French, English, Spanish and Dutch. I have been residing in Huntington Beach since 1994. I am married to a physician practicing in Orange County and we have three kids; a girl and two boys. In the US I have been an Arabic and Islamic studies teacher since 1988.

Currently I serve as the Chair of the Women’s Committee and the Youth Advisor at the Islamic Institute of Orange County in Anaheim. I also teach Quranic studies and ASL in the Center.

I was born in England and raised within the Mother Church of England. My wife, Barbara, is a Roman Catholic who was born and raised in the United States. When we lived in England we became the Chairman and Secretary of the area Council of Churches and because of the way parish boundaries are drawn, I was also treasurer of the adjacent area Council of Churches.

On moving to the States we continued with our work with InterChurch couples/families and subsequently both of us were invited to represent our Roman parish on the local Interfaith Council. Our involvement in Interreligious affairs has led to our realization that there is a great need for an association for both InterChurch and Interfaith families, hence my present involvement as a Spiritual Advisor. I am now also a member of the Episcopal Diocesan Commission for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs and my official ministry for my diocese is InterChurch and Interfaith families.
